JELANG memperingati Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia belum lama ini, Yayasan Daya Pelita Kasih (DPK) bekerjasama dengan NeuroMuscular Indonesia menggelar project kolaborasi “Seminar Penangganan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus dengan Pendekatan NeoroMuscular Taping” di Multi Function Room DPK, Jl. Jatipadang Utara No. 8 A-B, Jakarta Selatan.
Dalam acara ini menampilkan pembicara internasional, David Leonard Blow, Founder & President NMT Institute yang dimoderatori oleh praktisi NMT Indonesia, Sunarto, S,ST,FT,NMTC-TC-Neu.
Menurut David Blow mengatakan adapun tujuan diadakan seminar ini adalah untuk pengenalan dalam pengalaman kelas langsung yang mengajarkan metodologi teknik baru ini dalam rehabilitasi fisik NeuroMuscular Taping untuk anak-anak dan orang dewasa yang menyandang autism, down syndrome dan gangguan perkembangan atau penundaan lainnya.
“Dalam seminar ini juga dilihat dalam perspektif: Aspek psikologis umum: memahami kondisi mental, fisik dan emosional siswa-siswi dan progress keluhan penanganan mereka dan sumber daya didaktik dari para terapi sekolah untuk penanganan yang efekstif dan kreatif,” ujar David Blow.
Dikatakan, namun ada hal yang terpenting bagi saya pribadi adalah berbagi kasih dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus di Yayasan DPK ini, dan saya berharap tahun depan saya akan kembali lagi ke sini untuk dapat berbagi lagi tentang pengetahuan di sekolah ini. [red]
