DITENGAH kesibukannya yang padat, Ms. Deborah Aryanti, Senior Marketing & Communications Manager British Council yang sempat berkunjung ke Yayasan Daya Pelita Kasih (DPK) belum lama ini dengan sengaja ingin melihat kegiatan Sekolah DPK serta ingin menjajaki kerjasama program-program kedua institusi tersebut.
Ms. Deborah yang cukup lama berada di Yayasan DPK, melihat sendiri beberapa fasilitas Sekolah DPK terutama di kelas Visual Art, dengan melihat hasil karya lukisan siswa-siswi DPK, serta fasilitas outdoor lainnya dan cukup senang sekali bisa berdiskusi dengan dewan pengurus Yayasan DPK dan berinteraksi dengan para murid.
Dia pun berharap ke depannya untuk bisa bekerja sama dengan Yayasan DPK, dengan mengadakan talkshow (atau kegiatan lain yang berhubungan dengan kesenian) sebagai bentuk raising awareness dengan tema tertentu dan tepat untuk dilakukan bersama dengan British Council bisa menjadi awal kerjasama ini.
Kegiatan ini terutama bagi penyandang disabilitas dan penyandang developmental disorder dalam menghadapi kesulitan yang lebih besar dibandingkan masyarakat pada umumnya sebab keduanya memiliki hambatan dalam mengakses layanan umum bahkan seringkali tidak memiliki akses untuk pendidikan yang layak, pelayanan kesehatan, dan kegiatan perekonomian.
