YAYASAN Daya Pelita Kasih (DPK) dan London School Centre for Autism Awareness (LSCAA) bersama Sunrise Art Gallery & Arcade yang rencananya akan mengadakan pameran lukisan karya anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) mulai dari tanggal 1 hingga 26 Agustus 2019 bertempat di Sunrise Gallery di Fairmont Hotel Jakarta.
Menurut Founder dan Ketua Yayasan Daya Pelita Kasih, Katharina Lita Wewengkang saat pertemuannya dengan pihak LSCAA dan Sunsrise Art Gallery di Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, Rabu (12/6) didampingi oleh Ms. Daya Olivia Korompies (owner), Gatut Adisoma (Ketua Komite Orang Tua), Harry Bernadi (Visual Art program) mengatakan pameran ini diadakan secara umum agar masyarakat tidak memandang rendah orang yang berkebutuhan khusus dan melalui acara ini, kami ingin mengajak masyarakat untuk membantu dan mendukung agar anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus yang datang ke acara pameran ini mendapatkan inspirasi serta dapat membantu memotifikasi self confidence mereka disetiap individu untuk dapat berkarya terus melalui melukis.
“Siswa-siswi Sekolah Daya Pelita Kasih sendiri akan menampilkan sekitar 30 lukisan dari 10 pelukis yang sudah terbiasa tampil di pameran-pameran nasional dan internasional. Kesepuluh pelukis menampilkan beragam corak lukisan indah mulai dari realism hingga abstrak antara lain ada Aurelie Sari Putri Wirananda, Bima Arisena Adisoma, Banu Gunottama, Daya Olivia Korompis, Diego Luister Berel, Fero Adhimada Sardjono, Indhy Mutiarahmah, Jane Gabriella, Mahadana Trayusa, dan Seto Swastiko, ditambah dengan para newcomer lainnya,” ujarnya.
Ditambahkannya, pameran ini membagi ragam dan aliran lukisan menjadi dua berdasarkan karakteristik yang dimiliki anak didik kita, yakni mereka yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi dan yang kemampuan komunikasinya terbatas. [red]
