DPK Joins National Culture Week Through Kapal Cinta Community

THE Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) through the Directorate General of Culture held a National Cultural Week (PKN) from 7-13 October 2019 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.

This activity is an implementation of one of the cultural advancement strategies agreed at the 2018 Indonesian Cultural Congress, which is to provide space for the diversity of cultural expressions and encourage interaction between diverse cultures in Indonesia.

Daya Pelita Kasih School does not want to be left behind to participate in PKN celebrating through the Kapal Cinta Community Inclusion Stage, showing performing art and visual art. This activity is to create a shared space among various elements of society including inclusive communities.

The DPK School is proud to be one of the performers of music performance shows featuring angklung and vocals by carrying 5 songs, including songs; Nusantaraku, Sapa Suruh Datang Jakarta, Malam Minggu, Tanah Airku, and Hamba Bernyanyi.

In the National Culture Week 2019 itself not only displays performance art, but there are also exhibitions, discussion forums, folk games, and competitions. Annual activities that are preceded by district or city level, are continued at the provincial level. For this year, participants who take part in PKN come from 26 provinces, and it is hoped that next year it can grow to 34 provinces throughout Indonesia. [red]
