WHEN Idul Fitri (Lebaran) is over, one of the Indonesian traditions that is always carried out is halal bihalal to the homes of relatives and colleagues. This tradition is a gathering place for forgiving and sharing stories. For this reason, the Daya Pelita Kasih (DPK) school organized a Halal Bihalal program to meet with fellow schoolmates and teachers.

The Bihalal Halal event was divided into two stages, beginning with a joint prayer and greeting from Mr. Paulus Suli, followed by a story telling by Mr. Andes followed by Halal Bihalal event and a door prize distribution hosted by Ms. Dini and Ms. Winda. After that at 10:45 a.m. until 12:15 a.m. event where students were led to make date pudding, the event was held at the Basketball Court and Multipurpose Room.

The theme ‘Special’ was chosen this time, according to Ms. Dini, this Halal Bihalal celebration is a special moment for DPK school students, so that they can share and tolerate all the differences that exist, such as we also do Christmas celebrations, Chinese New Year every year.

After lunch the program continued with a talent show and sang together which was hosted by Mr. Ata. Ms. Bertha and Ms. Dini.

It seems that all the students enjoyed the event organized by the school and we all hope that from this Halal Bihalal meeting it can produce something useful for us all, especially for DPK students, because by staying in touch like this, it will open the door to fortune and make long life everyone here.
